Nameless Epiphany

Nameless Epiphany

  • AUTHOR: RaeDances
  • TITLE: Nameless Epiphany
  • CATEGORY: Drama, Pre-movie/Flashback.
  • RATING: PG-13. Issues of religion being portrayed in an unfavorable light, a couple of subtly sexual (unpleasant to boot) metaphors.
  • SUMMARY: Trinity reflects on the journey from one faith to another.
  • AUTHOR’S NOTES:
    • Titles should die. That’s seriously all I have to say on that subject. DIE, they must DIE! The titles must DIE!
    • Well, in addition to that, as always thanks are due to Centaur and MTS: true friends and partners in crime, archiving, and the naming of this piece. The first two endeavors have admittedly been more successful than the latter ^_^
    • For longer, more involved stuff of mine (including things not posted on FF.net) head over to The Construct (http://www.constructfic.org).
    • Especially in light of FF.Net’s recent decision to remove all NC-17 fics, I feel that it’s important to establish independent, fandom-specific archives. Centaur, MTS and I are committed to creating a place where people can find good fanfics (of any rating), interesting conversations, and support in all of their writing endeavors. We think we’re doing a pretty good job, so we’d love it if you’d come check us out.

By the age of 13, I had already become an expert on the deceptions one could practice on the human mind, well versed in the ways of manipulation. The glass was never half full or half empty, but rather depended on who asked the questions.

Made to Fade

  • AUTHOR: RaeDances
  • TITLE: Made to Fade
  • CATEGORY: Drama, Pre-movie.
  • RATING: PG. I dislike the letter G as a rating.
  • SUMMARY: “Bits of paper clung to the tape, and the tape twisted and splintered as it tried to cling to its home. They destroyed each other as they parted, and she knew then that she had to get away. Had to tear herself from this world before it tore itself from her.”
  • AUTHOR’S NOTES:
    • More at the end of the fic.
    • For longer, more involved stuff of mine (including things not posted on FF.net) head over to The Construct (http://www.constructfic.org).
    • Centaur, MTS, and I have worked hard to begin collecting the best and the brightest of Matrix fanfics. Exclusive stuff? You betcha. Message board? Yeah, baby. Come, read, contribute. We promise not to bite ^_^

Made to Fade

She couldn’t speak, couldn’t breathe against the sudden thickness that had settled into her chest. It was always like this, acute agoraphobia of the soul – her crippling fear that she had become no more than bones being steered by mindless muscle. Empty, hollow, fading girl. Dissolving girl, losing herself in too many reflections, too many facets of self and un-self. Laughing, smiling, drowning girl. Laugh, smile, choke.
